Exercise: Read Badge Edges

The gate prints the first and last characters of a different badge. The preceding hall-code demo showed where zero and negative one point; now use them on a badge.

This is a separate exercise. Edit main.py, press Run to inspect the output, then Submit to check the numbered tasks.

Build the edge labels without changing the supplied badge.

Your Task

  1. Set first_mark to the first character of badge.
  2. Set last_mark to the last character of badge.
